UltraWideo – Remove Black Bars & Fit Any Video to Your Screen

Phenomenal extension, works great for adjusting widescreen content to fit 16:10 screens, or for removing embedded black bars in 4:3 content for use on an old tube TV. Works perfectly on YouTube. Works on Prime Video and Disney+ too. Not tested Netflix. Doesn't seem to work on BBC iPlayer though, not sure why.
