VeLens is a free toolkit for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). It adds instant search, Data Extension dependency mapping, a rebuilt Query Studio, and AI you can ask questions in plain English, across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, and Contact Builder and take actions as well. It all runs inside the Marketing Cloud tabs you already use, with no separate app to open. Our Chrome extension for Marketing Cloud was previously published as MC Lens. Same extension, new name. If you are updating from the old version, Chrome will ask you to approve permissions once more. That is because our backend moved to app.velens.cloud. Everything is free, including the AI. FIND ANYTHING IN SECONDS - Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+K) One search box for your whole Marketing Cloud account: Data Extensions, Journeys, Automations, Lists, Emails, Templates, Content Blocks, Queries, Filters, Push, SMS, CloudPages, and Automation Studio activities. Type a few letters and jump straight to it. Along the way you can copy keys and IDs, read a Data Extension's fields and row count inline, and reveal folder paths without leaving the page. Journeys show the version that is actually live next to any open draft, so a running journey never reads as switched off. KNOW WHAT BREAKS BEFORE YOU CHANGE IT - Data Extension Dependencies Pick a Data Extension and see everything that touches it: the SQL queries that write to it, the automations that run those queries, and the journeys that use it as an entry source. VeLens runs the lookups and answers with data cards built from your account, not paraphrased by the model. You can expand the underlying tool calls to see exactly what it read. Anything that writes a change waits for your explicit Confirm first. The same AI can explain or optimize the SQL query you are working on and hand you the rewrite to apply in one click, and can score a subject line and preheader with alternatives you can drop straight into the email. CONTROL WHAT YOUR TEAM CAN USE If your team shares an org, an owner or admin decides which of the twelve VeLens features are available, from the Command Palette to AI Chat, and can limit any one of them to specific roles: owner, admin, editor, reviewer, or viewer. These rules are enforced on our server, not just hidden in the browser, so a feature you turn off stays off for everyone it applies to. AI tools have their own separate switches, including subscriber engagement history, which stays off until an admin deliberately turns it on. Getting a second opinion on a subject line before it goes out. HOW IT WORKS Search and the browser-side tools work the moment you install, using the SFMC session you are already signed into. Anything that reads tracking, subscriber, or account data through the API, plus every AI feature, turns on after you connect once. Connecting is one click through the VeLens Installed Package in your own Marketing Cloud account, using standard OAuth. There is no Client ID, Client Secret, or Auth Base URL to paste anywhere. VeLens never sees your password, the connection covers the business units under your account, and you can revoke it at any time from Setup > Installed Packages or from the popup. YOUR DATA - The browser-side tools run entirely on your machine. Your session token never leaves your device. - AI features send selected email content (subject, preheader, HTML) and account metadata such as automation names, Data Extension schemas, and send metrics to our backend and our AI provider, routed through the Vercel AI Gateway. The current provider is named in our Privacy Policy. - Row-level subscriber data is never sent to AI.
