Trackyourmail is a Chrome extension for Gmail. After you sign in with Google, it helps you track opens and link clicks on emails you send from Gmail. Activity is stored on your Trackyourmail account and can be reviewed on the Trackyourmail website (https://trackyourmail.co). What this extension does • Connects your Google account to Trackyourmail so tracking can run while you use Gmail. • Open tracking: when you send a tracked message, the extension works with the Trackyourmail backend so a read can be recorded when the recipient’s client loads the tracking image. • Click tracking (optional): in Gmail compose, you can enable tracking for outbound links so clicks are logged before the recipient reaches the original URL. • Preferences in Gmail: when signed in, you can manage related preferences (such as read-receipt email notifications) from the Trackyourmail UI inside Gmail. What this extension does not do • It is not a full email client and does not replace Gmail. • The analytics dashboard lives on the Trackyourmail website, not inside the Chrome toolbar popup. • Sign-in is via Google; your account key is stored after authentication for API calls. How to use it 1. Install the extension and pin it. 2. Open the popup and continue with Google to sign in to Trackyourmail. 3. Open Gmail (mail.google.com) and compose a message as usual. 4. Send the message. Opens and (if enabled) link clicks are recorded by Trackyourmail. 5. Review activity on https://trackyourmail.co while signed in to the same account. Requirements A Trackyourmail account and access to Gmail in Chrome. The extension only runs its content scripts on mail.google.com. Privacy Tracking sends technical event data to the Trackyourmail backend. We do not use IP addresses for location analytics.
