UnTXT — AI Detector & Writing Checker
1 rating
)Check any text for AI tells before you submit. Marks each passage AUTHENTIC or SUSPECT, with an explanation of what was noticed.
Your writing has tells, and detectors find them. UnTXT shows you every one of them before anyone else looks, because it highlights each phrase that reads as machine written whenever you select some text and run a check from the right click menu. Unlike checkers that hand you a bare score, it marks each passage AUTHENTIC or SUSPECT and tells you why. Eleven signals run behind the scenes — vocabulary spikes, syntax habits, hedging, templates, rhetoric, puffery and more, the patterns reviewers hunt for when they suspect a draft — and their combined verdict is what you see. Click a highlight and see the reasoning behind it. A short note explains the flag in plain English, and instead of leaving you there, the rewrite flow drops the phrase back into the editor so you can rework it until the wording feels like yours again. Students run coursework and applications through it, while professionals vet reports and letters. To be clear, the verdict stays qualitative rather than numeric, so you learn what sounds human and what needs work. Five checks are free, and no account is needed. Anonymous analysis stays on your device, while signing in adds the enhanced signals and a saved history on the UnTXT site. CHANGELOG: v0.9.0 | 2026.09.03 Highlights now mark each passage AUTHENTIC or SUSPECT instead of eleven separate signal colours, matching the same change on the web app. Eleven detection signals still run and still feed the verdict; there is just one question left to answer per passage, not eleven colours to learn first. v0.8.0 | 2026.09.02 No percentage anywhere in the result. The side panel already showed a qualitative verdict ("Strong AI patterns throughout" and so on) rather than a number; the number itself is gone from every reasoning note too, so a flag never quotes a confidence figure it then tells you to ignore. Listing corrected to say eleven signals, not seven. v0.7.0 | 2026.08.25 Body text across the panel switched to Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface built for reading clarity at small sizes, with the base reading size raised. Educator replaces Teacher as the role label. v0.6.0 | 2026.08.11 Feature parity pass between the side panel and the web app: matching account/billing surfaces, matching colour system, matching typography tokens.
