Markdown Page Downloader converts any webpage to clean Markdown format and saves it to your computer or directly into your Obsidian vault. HOW IT WORKS • Click the extension icon to download the current page or open the popup menu • Enable "One-click download" in settings to download instantly on icon click • Right-click on any page or link and select "Download this page as Markdown" • Use the "Download as MD" button that appears next to search results SMART CONTENT EXTRACTION The extension intelligently identifies the main content of a page, filtering out navigation, ads, sidebars, and other clutter. It extracts metadata like title, author, and publication date. All processing happens locally in your browser. The Obsidian integration only talks to your own local Obsidian over loopback (127.0.0.1 or localhost). The host field is pinned to those addresses, so the API key cannot be redirected to a remote server.
