墨韵 Ink Tab — Classical Chinese Poetry New Tab
Overview
Classical Chinese poetry and living ink-wash art for every new tab — beautiful even if you can't read a word of it.
Turn every new tab into a quiet moment of classical Chinese poetry and ink-wash painting. Ink Tab replaces your new tab page with 30 poems from the Tang and Song dynasties, rendered in vertical, traditional style with a hand-brushed entrance animation. The Chinese appears first; hover to reveal an elegant English translation. Click any character to hear it spoken aloud, or listen to the whole poem. Even if you can't read a single character, the page is a small work of art: mountains that shift with your mouse, drifting mist, and ink that blooms wherever you click. FEATURES • 30 classic Tang & Song poems, randomly selected each time • Vertical poem layout with a brush-stroke entry animation • English poetic translation — hover to reveal, always show, or hide • Click any character to hear it spoken; read the full poem aloud • "Character of the Day" — oracle-bone script → modern form → pinyin → meaning • Traditional Chinese incense clock tracking the twelve shichen (time periods) • Ink splashes and drifting mist you paint with your cursor • Settings panel with local persistence and keyboard shortcuts SHORTCUTS • Space / N — new poem • T — toggle translation • R — read the poem aloud • C — copy the poem • ? — open settings · Esc — close PRIVACY Ink Tab collects nothing. It stores only your preferences locally. No analytics, no trackers, no remote code.
