Overview

Save exact offline copies of web pages, search the text inside every snapshot, keep versions and compare how a page changed.

Zovo PageVault keeps an exact, self-contained copy of the web pages you need to hold on to. It is a page archive, not a reader view: each snapshot keeps the original layout, images, styles, fonts and frames, so you can see the page exactly as it looked on the day you saved it, search inside it later, and compare it with later versions after the live site changes. What it does - Saves the current tab as one self-contained HTML snapshot, built on the open-source SingleFile capture engine - Keeps every snapshot of the same address as a numbered version - Full-text search across the words inside every saved page, not only titles and addresses - Library view with page count, snapshot count and the local storage used - Automatic site rules: save a page after each completed visit to a chosen site and keep only the latest N versions - Visual comparison of two versions side by side or overlaid, with a list of added and removed terms - Annotations tied to one exact snapshot: select text in the saved copy, add a note, and the quote is highlighted - Export any snapshot as an ordinary HTML file you can open anywhere How it works Click the toolbar button and press Save snapshot, or use Save current page in the library. PageVault embeds the page's resources into a single HTML file and stores it in your browser's local database. Open the library to browse or search your archive, open a snapshot to read it, export it, or compare it with the previous version. To archive a site automatically, add its hostname as a rule; Chrome asks you to grant access to that site only, and the access is removed when you delete the last rule for it. Privacy Your snapshots, search text, versions, rules and annotations stay in your browser. There are no ads, no analytics and no account. To build a complete copy, the capture engine requests the page's own images, fonts and styles from the sites the page uses. If you activate a licence, only the licence key and the product name are sent to Zovo's licence check. All code ships inside the extension. Pro Without a licence you can save, search, export and keep versions, with one automatic site rule. A Pro licence unlocks unlimited site rules, visual comparison and annotations. PageVault is open source under AGPL-3.0-or-later and is based on SingleFile by Gildas Lormeau. Made by Zovo (zovo.one)
