While it works on my 21:9 monitor, you lose the top and bottom part of the video in order to get rid of the black bars.

I like this extension but i am having a problem where my play/pause key is zooming the video even though i dont have any assigned keys for it

Technically works but limited in its detection. Youtube, for example, does not allow for custom zoom.
