ZoneView · Live False Color

View live SDR exposure-zone false color on web images and videos. Adjust exposure, compare the original, and show a color scale.

ZoneView turns images and videos on your current webpage into a live exposure-zone false-color view. See the distribution of dark, midtone and bright areas while keeping the webpage and its media controls available. • Apply false color to images, videos and Canvas content, or choose a media type. • Adjust the exposure reference from −6 to +6 EV in 0.25 EV steps. • Switch between false color and the original view. • Show an on-page exposure scale relative to 18% middle gray. • Use the included grayscale, color-patch and live-video test page. • Skip small icons automatically. Click the extension on a regular webpage and enable false color. Processing happens in your browser: no media uploads, account or analytics. Preferences stay on your device. The extension requests temporary access to the page you activate; it does not request permanent access to all websites. Reloading or navigating requires you to enable it again. The interface follows Chrome’s language and supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French and Spanish. Other languages fall back to English. ZoneView provides an independent SDR approximation inspired by EL Zone. It measures rendered display luminance relative to middle gray, not the original scene or camera sensor exposure. It does not recover Log or HDR data and is not an officially certified EL Zone implementation. Ordinary SDR white is about +2.47 EV at zero offset. Cross-origin image/video resources can be processed, but media inside cross-origin embedded frames may not be accessible. Browser internal pages, closed components, protected video and picture-in-picture may be unsupported. No fixed frame rate or universal website compatibility is guaranteed.
