Ziptype is a text expander and AI prompt library for Chrome. Save the things you type often—prompts, email templates, everyday replies and signatures—and reuse them with a short shortcut. A little typing. A lot said. Save a creative brief as /brief. In a supported text field, type the full shortcut and Ziptype replaces it with your saved text. Start a shortcut and press Tab to accept a suggestion before you finish typing. No account required. Creating, organizing and expanding shortcuts works locally without signing in. Google sign-in and cloud sync are currently limited to testing. If you enable sync, your saved library, settings and usage statistics are sent to Ziptype's cloud service after you review the versions to use. Compatibility Requires Chrome 116 or later. Automatic expansion works in supported text fields, not every editor. Chrome's protected pages and some custom editors do not allow it. Time-saving figures are estimates, not measured productivity results.
