Overview

Tip GitHub profiles with Bitcoin Lightning payments. Detects a Lightning address in a profile bio and adds a Zap button.

Zaptip adds a simple way to tip developers on GitHub using Bitcoin over the Lightning Network. When you visit a GitHub profile or repository that displays a Lightning address, Zaptip detects it and adds a Zap button to the page. Click it, enter an amount in sats, and Zaptip resolves the address and generates a Lightning invoice you can pay with any Lightning wallet, including WebLN-enabled browser wallets. Features: - Automatically detects Lightning addresses on GitHub profiles and repositories - One-click Zap button injected directly into the page - Enter any amount in sats - Generates a QR code and invoice for easy payment from any wallet - Supports WebLN for in-browser wallet payments - Runs entirely in your browser with no account, no tracking, and no data collection Zaptip is open source. It only accesses github.com to detect addresses and add the tip button, and it contacts a Lightning provider only when you choose to send a tip.
