Overview

Zap sats to GitHub repos and contributors you appreciate, via Lightning.

Zapstar lets you tip your favorite open source projects and their contributors in Bitcoin, directly from GitHub. HOW IT WORKS Visit any GitHub repository or profile. If the maintainer has added a Lightning Address to their repo's FUNDING.yml file (or a contributor has one in their bio or profile README), Zapstar shows a Zap button right on the page. Click it, pick an amount, and pay from your own Lightning wallet. WHY ZAPSTAR - Non-custodial: payments go directly from your wallet to the recipient's Lightning Address. Zapstar never holds or touches funds. - No signup required: no accounts, no linking wallets, no personal data collected. - Works for repos and people: tip a whole project, or tip the specific contributor whose work you appreciate. - Automatic payment confirmation: for wallets that support it, Zapstar detects when your payment lands and confirms it for you. Zapstar is fully open source. Contributions welcome: https://github.com/TChukwuleta/Zapstar
