ytSpeedControl
Overview
Control YouTube playback speed with flexible per-channel rules.
ytSpeedControl lets you pick a YouTube playback speed that actually sticks - and set different speeds for individual channels. WHAT IT DOES • One click on the toolbar icon opens a clean popup with +/- buttons and quick presets: 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 / 175 / 200%. • + and - adjust the current video by 5% and remember the rate for next time. • Pick “All of YouTube” for a global default, or “Only this channel” to save a per-channel rule. • The toolbar icon shows the active speed right on the icon, so you always know what’s applied. WHY YOU’LL LIKE IT • Per-channel exceptions - crank lectures to 1.75×, keep music at 1× automatically. • Works on watch, Shorts and Live pages. • Settings sync through your Chrome account, so your speeds follow you to every device. • No account, no tracking, no ads. The extension talks only to youtube.com. • Full settings page lists every saved exception and lets you remove them one by one or all at once. • Interface available in English, Russian, Spanish, French and German. PERMISSIONS • storage - to remember your default speed and per-channel exceptions. • tabs - to show the current speed on the toolbar icon for the active tab. • host access to youtube.com - to set the video playback rate on the page. That’s the whole list. No other sites are touched.
