YTReporter
Overview
Tracks your time spent watching YouTube, with optional reporting to a private self-hosted server.
YTReporter measures the time you actually spend watching YouTube and shows it in a popup — today and the last 7 days — so you can see your usage at a glance. How it works • It counts real watched time by following the video's own playback, so pausing, buffering, seeking, and background/minimized tabs are all handled accurately. • All tracking happens locally in your browser. Click the toolbar icon to see your stats. No account, no sign-in. Optional reporting • Reporting is OFF by default. If you turn it on (or an organization that deploys the extension enables it by policy), watched-time totals are sent to a private, self-hosted server that you or your organization runs. • Nothing is sent anywhere unless reporting is enabled. • No ads. No third-party analytics. Your data is never sold. YTReporter is intended for personal use and for organizations that want to self-host their own YouTube watch-time reporting.
