YTBM is a browser extension that blocks toxic comments and channels, removes Shorts, and filters keywords — so you can clean up YouTube exactly the way you want. You decide what gets blocked. ■ Features • Comment & Live Chat Blocking — Instantly hides comments from blocked channels and comments containing banned words. A block button also appears next to nicknames in live chat. Replies are kept visible by default, but can be hidden via settings. • Hide Shorts — Completely removes Shorts from the Shorts tab, home feed, and search results with a single toggle. • Hide All Comments & Chat — Hides all comment sections, Shorts comments, and live chat windows with a single toggle. Use this when you simply don't want to see any comments, regardless of channel blocking. • Channel Blocking — Block any channel from your feed, search, and comments. A block button appears instantly when you hover over any video. • Video Blocking — Hide specific videos without blocking the entire channel. • Instant Block & Undo — Enable 'Instant Block Mode' in settings to block without a confirmation dialog. Made a mistake? Click on any hidden comment to instantly restore (Undo) it. • Keyword Filtering — Automatically filters out comments and video titles containing words you specify. • Account Auto-Block — Adds commenters who use banned words to your block list the moment they are detected. Can be toggled ON/OFF whenever needed. • False Positive Log & Bulk Restore — All auto-blocked entries (account name, keyword, comment text, timestamp) are recorded in a separate tab. Supports search, individual unblocking, and bulk restore by keyword. Restored accounts are automatically whitelisted to prevent re-blocking. • Whitelist — Register channels that should never be blocked. Whitelisted accounts are protected from all block conditions. • Backup & Restore — Export and import your block list as a JSON file. Switching browsers? Your data comes with you. • Community Reputation — Displays a "⚠️ N blocked" badge on accounts reported by multiple users. Hover over the badge to see a breakdown of reports by reason. You can submit block reasons to contribute to the data, but you always decide whether to block. (Off by default, optional) ⚠️ Read this before enabling Account Auto-Block This feature does not understand context — it only checks whether a word is present, not its meaning or intent. If you add "idiot" as a banned word, someone writing "Wait, he's not an idiot — he's actually brilliant" will be immediately blocked and remain blocked until manually restored. The shorter and more common the word, the higher the chance of false positives. Please follow these guidelines: • Use long, specific phrases for banned words rather than short common words. • Check the auto-block log regularly and restore any wrongly blocked accounts. • Add trusted channels to the whitelist in advance. ■ Who is this for?
