YT Waypoints
Overview
Bookmark your place in long YouTube videos. Stored locally only.
Keep your place in long YouTube videos and return to them from a searchable bookmark list. By default, opening YT Waypoints on a video bookmarks it. Saved playback positions update every five seconds while bookmarked videos play. Automatic bookmarking can be disabled in Options. Features: • Search bookmarks by video title or channel name. • Drag a progress bar to adjust playback or a saved resume point. • Scrub with arrow keys, using configurable steps and a Shift multiplier. • Paste a YouTube link anywhere in the popup to switch to or open that video. • Show or hide video thumbnails. • Copy bookmarks as JSON for backup or transfer between browser installations. • Paste exported JSON to merge bookmarks. Matching videos use the pasted resume points. Bookmarks and preferences are stored locally in your browser profile and persist between sessions. There are no accounts, analytics, or automatic cloud synchronization. Thumbnails load directly from YouTube’s image server and can be disabled. The developer receives none of your bookmarks or searches. Open the popup using the toolbar icon or Command+Shift+Y on Mac / Ctrl+Shift+Y elsewhere. Exit video fullscreen before using the popup.
