YT Originalizer - Original Only
Overview
Force original audio on YouTube. No data collection.
Make YouTube play the original audio—automatically. No dubs. No settings hunting. No data collection. What it does Forces the original audio track when multiple tracks exist (e.g., “English (Original)”). Works locally in your browser—no data collected, no external requests. Keeps your UI language unchanged (menus stay in your language). Why it’s useful Avoid auto-dubbed audio that can be confusing or low quality. Set it once; it just works in the background. Lightweight by design—no heavy menus, no trackers. How to use Install the extension. Open a YouTube video on youtube.com. If multiple audio tracks are available, it picks the Original automatically. Privacy The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All logic runs on your device only. Permissions Runs as a content script on youtube.com. No additional permissions. No remote code. Notes & limitations Only affects videos that actually provide more than one audio track. Does not change subtitles/closed captions. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by Google/YouTube. Support Questions or feedback? Report the video URL and the exact audio menu text (e.g., “German / English (Original)”) so we can fine-tune detection.
