YT Focus strips YouTube back to what matters — your subscriptions and the videos you actually searched for. Shorts → Videos: Rewrites every Short to play in the normal horizontal player. No vertical feed, no infinite scroll trap. The dedicated Shorts shelf in search is removed entirely. Channel Shorts tabs stay accessible — you choose when to watch them, not the algorithm. Clean Home Feed: The recommendation grid is gone. YouTube.com redirects straight to your Subscriptions feed. Distraction-Free Watch Page: Hides the related videos sidebar (and expands the player to fill the space) and removes end-screen video suggestions so you finish what you started. Everything is toggleable from the popup — flip any feature on or off without leaving the page. Settings persist across sessions. No accounts. No data collection. Fully local. Open source.
