Tired of manually switching captions to "Auto-translate → your language" every time you open a YouTube video? This extension automatically translates and displays captions in your chosen language as soon as a video loads. Features - Automatically translates captions into your chosen language on every video - If captions are already on, switches them to your target language automatically (it won't turn captions on for videos where they're off) - If a native caption track in your language already exists, it's shown as-is without translation (quality-first; can be turned off in settings) - Resets caption display style (font, color, background) to YouTube's default - Change your target language anytime from the settings page Privacy This extension does not send or collect your viewing history or personal information. Settings are stored only in Chrome's sync storage. Notes - Auto-translation uses YouTube's own built-in translation feature (this extension does not run its own translation engine). - Translation is unavailable for videos without any caption track, or for unsupported language pairs. - Because this relies on YouTube's internal (undocumented) player behavior, it may temporarily stop working after YouTube changes its internals.
