Youtubook: Read YouTube videos
Overview
Read a YouTube video instead of watching it — its key scenes and narration, on one page.
Youtubook turns a YouTube video into a readable, illustrated article. Instead of watching it end to end, you get the video's key scenes laid out down the page — each with the matching narration from its captions — so you can read a video like a blog post or study notes. Works for lectures, documentaries, tutorials, and storybooks alike. • Automatic scene detection — one representative image per scene • Narration from the video's own captions, aligned to each scene • Opens as a clean reading page in a new tab • Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, no tracking, no accounts • Korean / English interface (follows your Chrome display language) Youtubook is open source (MIT). Source code and issues: https://github.com/legojeon/Youtubook Privacy: Youtubook does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens locally in your browser. The only network requests are to youtube.com to fetch caption data for the video you are viewing.
