Overview
Per-sentence timestamped YouTube transcript with AI summary and expression helper.
YouTube Transcript Jump places a per-sentence transcript right next to your YouTube video and lets you click any sentence to seek to it instantly. Unlike the built-in "Show transcript" that groups lines coarsely, we break the transcript down to real sentence boundaries, so jumping to the exact moment is one click away. Features • Per-sentence jumping — finer than YouTube's built-in transcript. One click seeks to the exact start of a sentence. • Coarse view — about 25 seconds (around 320 characters) per chunk, matching the layout used by many transcript viewers. • Export — copy to clipboard or download as .txt or .csv, with or without timestamps. • AI Summary — one-paragraph summary, emoji key points, analogy, and keyword definitions, written in the transcript's language. • AI Expressions helper — idioms, rare vocabulary, and colloquialisms under each sentence, perfect for language learners. • Side-by-side translation — when translation is needed, we generate it with AI and display the original and translated sentences alongside. How it works 1. Open any YouTube video — the per-sentence view appears right away in the sidebar. 2. Click "Per-sentence" in the sidebar to toggle between per-sentence and coarse view, or click a timestamp to jump. 3. To get an AI Summary or Expressions analysis, click the corresponding button in the sidebar. Use cases Language learners Watch native English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese or Italian YouTube content with sentence-level transcripts, idiom and slang explanations under each line, vocabulary highlights, and side-by-side translation. Great for ESL and EFL study, IELTS, TOEFL or TOEIC prep, shadowing practice, listening comprehension drills, anime, K-drama and C-drama immersion, podcast-based language learning, accent and pronunciation work, and bilingual reading. Students and researchers Pull recorded lectures, MOOC courses, university seminars, TED talks, conference keynotes, academic webinars and panel discussions into a clean per-sentence transcript. Jump straight to the segment you need, generate an AI Summary of the entire video, extract definitions of jargon, and export the transcript as .txt or .csv for note-taking, citation, paper writing, literature review or qualitative coding. Professionals and knowledge workers Skim long interviews, earnings calls, product launches, designer talks, engineering deep-dives, sales demos, founder podcasts, AMA sessions and industry analyst videos. Use timestamps to triage what is worth watching, AI summaries to brief teammates, and exports to feed your second brain or a Notion, Obsidian or Roam knowledge base. Content creators and journalists Review your own uploads sentence by sentence, copy quote-worthy lines verbatim, prepare clean transcripts for blog posts, show notes, newsletters, social clips, repurposed shorts and SEO-friendly captions. Pull soundbites out of long-form interviews quickly. Casual viewers and accessibility Follow along with cooking tutorials, gaming commentary, music videos and lyrics, sermons and devotional content, news segments, fitness routines, science explainers, history documentaries, true crime investigations, motivational talks, and travel vlogs — especially helpful when audio is hard to catch, the speaker has a strong accent, or the language is not your first. Privacy We store only the bare minimum to run the service. • Your Google account email and user ID (for account identification) • Usage counters for AI features (which feature, which video ID, timestamp) • A subscription reference ID issued by our payment provider Transcripts are sent to an external AI service solely to generate summaries and expression help, and are not retained by us.
