YouTube to Gemini Summarizer

Opens Gemini in a temporary chat, populates a detailed video summary prompt, and automatically sends it.

Summarize any YouTube video instantly using the power of Google Gemini. With a single click while watching a video, this extension automatically opens Gemini in a new tab, inputs a comprehensive synthesis prompt tailored to the video, and triggers generation—saving you valuable time. Key Features: * One-Click Summaries: Click the toolbar button on any YouTube video to begin analysis. * Comprehensive Synthesis: Generates an executive summary, core frameworks/takeaways, chronological breakdown with timestamps, and an F.A.Q. * Works Signed-In or Signed-Out: - If signed in: Automatically activates Gemini's Temporary Chat mode to keep your chat history uncluttered. - If signed out: Injects the prompt immediately into the editor without delays. * Privacy-Friendly: Does not track your browsing or store personal data. The active video URL is held in local storage only long enough to construct the prompt and is immediately deleted. * Lightweight & Fast: Clean Manifest V3 implementation with minimal permissions.
