YouTube Timestamp Notes
Overview
Save and export timestamp notes while watching YouTube videos.
Capture every highlight while you watch. YouTube Timestamp Notes adds a floating “Save timestamp” control directly on YouTube so you can bookmark moments as they happen, organise notes per video, and export everything to CSV or JSON. Key capabilities: - Save timestamps on YouTube watch and Shorts pages with one click or the N hotkey. - See saved moments instantly in the extension popup, grouped by current video or across all videos. - Jump back with a single tap, copy shareable links, or delete entries you no longer need. - Export the current video or your entire library as CSV/JSON files for sharing, archiving, or editing elsewhere. - Works offline-first: data lives in chrome.storage.local, never leaves your browser, and respects a 1000-note limit per video. - Built for the YouTube SPA: the button reattaches automatically on navigation, handles Shorts, and avoids duplicates. - Accessibility-friendly with keyboard focus, ARIA labels, and high-contrast UI. - No telemetry, no network calls, no external dependencies—privacy by design. How to use: 1. Install the extension and open any YouTube video or Short. 2. Click the floating stopwatch button (bottom-right by default) or press N to save the current timestamp. 3. Open the extension popup to review, play, copy, delete, or export your notes. 4. Use the built-in exports to download CSV/JSON summaries whenever you need them. Make your YouTube research, learning sessions, and content reviews faster by keeping every important moment one click away.
