YouTube Tags — organize your subscriptions, control your feed Turn your subscription list into a tagged library. Group channels by topic (Educational, Gaming, Cooking, News — whatever), then filter your subscription feed to only show the tags you're in the mood for. Sort the left sidebar by how often you actually watch each channel. Everything stays on your device. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ KEY FEATURES 📁 Tag & organize channels • Create your own tags with custom names and colors • Assign one or many tags to each subscribed channel • A guided setup wizard walks you through your first sort 🎯 Filter your subscription feed by tag • Pick one or more tags → the feed shows only videos from channels in those tags • Toggle tags on the fly from the popup, the feed page, or the tag bar under any video 📊 Sort the sidebar by watch frequency • The extension tracks how many videos you watch from each channel • Sort the sidebar subscriptions list by "Most Watched" over a period you choose (7d / 14d / 30d / 90d / all time) 🎬 Auto-Theater mode (optional) • If you always prefer Theater layout, one toggle switches every /watch page for you. Press T to override for the current video — the next one re-enters Theater. 🔁 Auto-redirect home → subscriptions (optional) • Skip the algorithmic home page — land straight on your subscription feed. Sidebar "Home" still works if you want the real home page. 🤖 AI tag suggestions (bring your own key) • Optional: plug in your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key • Suggest tags for a single channel, or run a batch pass over every unsorted channel • The model list is fetched live from the provider you selected, so you always see the newest models ⚡ Silent daily sync (optional) • Once every 24h, a hidden background tab briefly checks your channels list to detect newly-subscribed / unsubscribed channels, then closes itself. You never see it. 🎨 Optional feed cleanup • Toggles in Settings → General reduce Shorts and livestream cards from your subscription and home feeds. Coverage is best-effort — YouTube's layout changes frequently, so some variants may still slip through. 💾 Backup & restore • Export all your tags, channels, and preferences as a JSON file • Import to restore, migrate to another browser, or share the same setup across profiles ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY • 100% local. Your tags, channels, watch history, and preferences never leave your device. • No accounts. No analytics. No telemetry. No trackers. No third-party cookies. • The developer operates no server — there is no backend that could leak your data. • AI is fully opt-in. Requests use your OpenAI / Anthropic API key and go directly from your browser to the provider you chose.
