Shows upload date on YouTube Shorts — hover thumbnails for a tooltip or see it as a badge while watching
YouTube hides upload dates on Shorts. The date is technically buried in the description, but opening that just to find a date is inconvenient. YouTube Shorts Upload Date shows the upload date as a tooltip when you hover over any Shorts thumbnail (can optionally set a visibility duration), and as a badge inside the Shorts player while you're watching. Dates appear in a clear format: "3 days ago · Jan 18, 2025". Without this extension, there is no quick way to know if a Short is from yesterday or two years ago. Install it if you want to judge how current a video is before or while watching.
