Overview

Take local, timestamped notes while watching YouTube videos.

YouTube Notes adds a compact notes panel to standard YouTube video pages. Capture an idea at the current playback time, keep notes organized chronologically for each video, and return to any saved moment by selecting its timestamp. Search the current video's notes as you type, copy individual timestamped notes, or export the complete list as Markdown or plain text. Minimize the interface to a small restore button when you want an unobstructed viewing experience. Notes and preferences are stored locally through Chrome extension storage. YouTube Notes does not require an account and does not include analytics, advertising tracking, remote APIs, or cloud synchronization.
