Take back the video size theater mode gives away to live chat. Move chat below the player, pin both, and set panel widths.

Where chat sits in theater mode has changed; you can switch it back in the settings. 【descriptions】 When you watch a live stream in theater mode, YouTube cuts the video down to make room for the chat panel. This extension gives that space back to the video. ■ Measured results (theater mode + live chat) 1500x950 window 1081x608 -> 1388x781 (+64% area) 1920x1080 window 1385x779 -> 1620x911 (+37% area) Half a WQHD screen 910x512 -> 1250x703 (+89% area) ■ What it does - Makes the video full width and puts "description | live chat" below it - Or keeps chat beside the video and gives the trimmed width back to the video - Sets the chat width anywhere from 240 to 720 px - Pins the video and the chat so both stay visible while you scroll - Shrinks the pinned video so you can read more comments - Seeks from timestamp links without scrolling the page away - Changes the width of the live chat / comments panel in fullscreen ■ Settings Everything is in the toolbar popup and applies immediately - no page reload. You can also pause the extension on a single tab. ■ How it is built - YouTube does its own sizing math; this extension only feeds it different values - In fullscreen the only thing it changes is the panel width, and only if you turn that on - If the window is too narrow for the rearrangement, it leaves YouTube alone - It does not modify YouTube's DOM, so it stays out of other extensions' way ■ Privacy - No network requests of any kind - No data collected or transmitted, including browsing or watch history - Settings are stored in your browser only - The only permissions requested are storage and access to youtube.com ■ Scope - www.youtube.com only - Theater mode and the default layout - Live streams, premieres, and archives
