YouTube Layout Customizer

This extension modifies the YouTube layout to improve usability by allowing independent scrolling and repositioning comments.

Customize YouTube’s layout, video grids, comments, and live chat to suit your preferences. 1. Adjust the video playback page layout and display ・Scroll the main content and right sidebar independently ・Drag the divider to resize the left and right panes ・Save your preferred pane width and restore it when opening another video ・Switch to a wide layout by dragging the divider, and return to the side-by-side layout with a button ・Turn automatic hiding of the top bar, including the search field, on or off during playback ・Assist with operating the ad skip button 2. Change the comment section’s position ・Move comments to the right sidebar ・Use the button in the comment section to switch between its original position and the right sidebar 3. Customize video grids on Home and Subscriptions ・Set and save a separate maximum column count for each page ・Automatically adjust columns for portrait cards, including Shorts and Playables, while maintaining YouTube’s default column proportions ・Individually show or hide Shorts, Playables, and Explore more topics on Home ・Individually show or hide Shorts and Most relevant on Subscriptions 4. Customize comments and live chat ・Hide posts from selected users, with an option to undo before hiding takes effect ・Save and restore the comment sort order for regular videos and Shorts, and the Live chat / Top chat selection. Saving can be turned on or off ・Click a live chat timestamp to seek to the corresponding playback position ・Click a chat participant’s name or avatar to highlight their messages ・Individually show or hide live chat timestamps and participant names
