Turns YouTube into a search-only experience by removing recommendations, Shorts feeds, and endless results.

YouTube Focus turns YouTube into a search-and-watch tool instead of an infinite feed. The homepage keeps the search bar and hides recommended videos, Shorts, and other discovery surfaces. Search results are limited to a number you choose (10 by default). Watch pages keep the video you opened and hide related videos, Up Next, autoplay, and comments unless you turn comments back on. Use it when you want to watch something specific without sliding into recommendations. What it does • Hides the YouTube homepage feed so only search remains • Limits search results (1–50, default 10) and hides filter chips • Removes sidebar suggestions, end screens, and autoplay on watch pages • Hides comments by default • Converts Shorts links into a normal watch page • Sends browsing pages such as Explore, Trending, and Home shelves back to a search-only screen Settings Click the YouTube Focus icon in Chrome’s toolbar to: • Pause or resume focus mode • Show or hide comments • Change how many search results appear This extension is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
