YouTube Focus Mode gives you full control over what you see on YouTube — hide Shorts, silence recommendations, and remove distractions so you can stay focused. FEATURES ▶ Hide YouTube Shorts Remove Shorts from the home feed, sidebar, search results, and navigation. Never be pulled into a Shorts scroll session again. ▶ Hide Home Recommendations Clear the entire home feed grid so you open YouTube with intention — not by accident. ▶ Hide Video Suggestions Sidebar Remove the "Up Next" autoplay sidebar while watching a video. No more rabbit holes. ▶ Hide Comments Collapse the comment section entirely for a distraction-free viewing experience. ▶ Hide End Screen Cards Block the clickbait cards that appear in the last few seconds of every video. ▶ Hide Info / i-Cards Remove the information card teasers that pop up mid-video. ▶ Hide Trending & Explore Remove Trending and Explore from the left navigation so you're never tempted. ▶ Hide Notification Bell Remove the notification icon from the YouTube header to reduce impulse checking. HOW TO USE 1. Install the extension and pin it to your toolbar. 2. Click the YouTube Focus Mode icon while on youtube.com. 3. Toggle any feature on or off — changes apply instantly without a page reload. 4. Your settings are saved locally and remembered across browser sessions. PRIVACY YouTube Focus Mode does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All settings are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. No analytics, no tracking, no external servers. PERMISSIONS This extension requests two permissions: • "storage" — to save your toggle preferences locally on your device. • "tabs" — to detect when you're on YouTube so it can apply your rules to the active tab.
