A cleaner, more intentional YouTube experience with less noise and more control.

YouTube Essentials removes distracting content from YouTube while keeping the videos you deliberately choose to watch. Hide Shorts from navigation, search results, and recommendations. Remove Playables and videos featured by YouTube from the Home feed. You can optionally keep Shorts available when visiting a creator's channel and open YouTube on your Subscriptions feed by default. The extension is lightweight and privacy-friendly: no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no external requests. Your preferences stay locally in your browser. Features: - Hide YouTube Shorts from navigation and recommendations - Hide Shorts from search results - Optionally allow Shorts on creator channel pages - Hide YouTube Playables from the Home feed - Hide videos featured by YouTube from the Home feed - Open YouTube on your Subscriptions feed by default - Light, dark, and system popup themes - Local-only settings - No tracking or data collection YouTube, minus the noise.
