Overview

Allows Search of Community Posts

YouTube Community Post Search Find your old YouTube Community Posts in seconds. No more endless scrolling. This extension is built specifically for YouTube creators who need a reliable way to search, filter, and access up to their last 500 community posts. I created this tool to solve my own problem: I conduct a lot of polls and question posts on my channel. Whenever I needed to reference a poll from a few months or years ago, there was no way to find it without sitting there scrolling for hours. Now, you can find exactly what you're looking for instantly. 🔥 Key Features - Instant Search: Search and filter through up to 500 of your most recent posts, polls, and channel updates by keyword. - Actionable Data: Quickly view impression counts, like rates, and response rates directly in the search feed. - Offline Access: Once loaded, your data is stored locally so you can search instantly without waiting for pages to load. ⚙️ Installation & Setup Because YouTube doesn't provide post data through their standard API, this extension uses a workaround to securely download your data directly from your YouTube Analytics. The easiest way to get started is to watch the short demo video above—it walks you through the entire setup! If you prefer written instructions, just follow these steps: 1. Once downloaded, open the extension and click the "Update" button on the right, then select "Get Latest Data". 2. It will ask for your YouTube Channel ID. - How to find it: If your URL looks like youtube.com/channel/UC123..., your ID is the part starting with "UC". If you have a custom URL, go to YouTube Studio -> Settings (gear icon) -> Channel -> Advanced Settings to find your Channel ID. 3. After entering your ID, you will be taken to your post information in YouTube Analytics. Wait a few seconds for the page to fully load, then click "Download Post Data." 4. You will be notified when your data is finished downloading with a red "Download Complete!" message. 5. Back in the extension, click "Select File" and choose the zip file that was just downloaded (it should have the word "Post" in the file name). The extension will automatically unzip and parse the data. 6. Click "Finish." This will load your posts into your main extension popup. 7. That's it! Your posts will now load automatically whenever you use the extension. Updating Your Data: - To pull in your newest posts in the future, simply click Update -> "Get Latest Data" again. - Advanced: You can also manually upload a zip file via Update -> "Upload Zip File" if you want to pull a specific date range from Analytics (like 'last 90 days' instead of 'lifetime') for greater accuracy on recent posts.
