This extension adds a small panel above the comments on any video: choose a target language, click Translate, and the visible comments are translated using Google Translate—so you can follow discussions from around the world without leaving the page. ► WHAT IT DOES • Adds one control panel above the comments (language dropdown + Translate button + “Only visible” option) • Translates comment text from any language into the language you choose • Supports 100+ languages (same as Google Translate) • Interface automatically matches your YouTube language (or browser language) ► HOW TO USE 1. Open any YouTube video and scroll to the comments. 2. Above the comments you’ll see: “Translate comments,” a language list, and a green “Translate” button. 3. Select your language and click “Translate.” 4. Wait for the progress counter to finish—comments are replaced with the translated text. ► HIGHLIGHTS • No account or API key needed • One panel, one button—no clutter on each comment • Option to translate only visible comments for faster results on long threads • Works on standard YouTube video pages (desktop and mobile layout) ► PRIVACY The extension sends only the text of the comments you translate to Google’s public translation service. It does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data, browsing history, or any other information. ► NOTE Translation is provided via Google’s web translation endpoint. Very high usage may occasionally trigger temporary limits; for heavy use, consider spacing out large batches of translations.
