YouTube Blocker – Take Back Your Time YouTube Blocker shows a gentle overlay the moment you open YouTube so you can decide: keep watching or close the tab and do something better. It helps you design your environment—not your willpower—for focus and healthier habits. Reminder (optional): reshow the overlay after a user-defined number of minutes. Works even in the same tab after the timer elapses. Sync-first storage with safe fallback: saves settings to chrome.storage.sync, and automatically falls back to localStorage when sync isn’t available. Show frequency controls: shows once per session (tracked via sessionStorage) by default; reminder timing works independently. Themes: Light / Dark / Auto (follows OS). Instant preview in popup. Multilingual UI: 10 languages (auto-detect + manual switch in popup). Built for MV3: minimal permissions (tabs, storage), host permissions for www.youtube.com/*.
