)Overview
Automatically adjust YouTube video quality to: HD/FPS/4K/8K or the highest resolution available
Automatically selects the highest available quality for YouTube videos, making viewing clearer and saving you the trouble of repeatedly adjusting manually. It's ready to use after installation. The extension will prioritize the highest resolution based on the actual video options, supporting 4K, 8K, and high frame rate videos; if the specified quality is unavailable, it will automatically select the closest available resolution. You can also select your preferred picture quality (2160p, 1440p, 1080p, 720p, etc.) in the extended panel, and enable, pause, or restore the default settings at any time. Whether for everyday viewing, full-screen playback, or opening multiple YouTube videos simultaneously, this reduces the need to repeatedly adjust the resolution. The project's code is open-source on GitHub, and the extension only works on the YouTube page and does not force low-resolution videos to be upscaled to HD. The final usable image quality depends on the video source, device performance, network conditions, and the actual options offered by the YouTube player.
