Fixes YouTube's inconsistent player controls. Right and left always navigate. Up and down always volume control.
This extension ensures that the left and right arrow keys always navigate the video timeline, while the up and down arrow keys always control the volume, regardless of the focus on the player.

It just doesn't work. If I click into the blank area just below the video player then my arrow keys do nothing.

This works pretty well, however it will not work if you at any point click on the volume bar, adjust the volume and *then* press the left and right keys as a blue box will appear over the volume slider. It seems once the volume is adjusted manually at any point, the blue box that appears will prevent the intended functionality of this extension.
