YouTube Anywhere Remote

This is really awesome when it works. But I've noticed if you click onto any other pages it will not work. I always have to refresh my video page to get it to work again. Happy to screen share to replicate/debug.

Sorry, for such a late response! I have a bit more free time to make updates to this again now. If you're still free, can you confirm a couple things to help me replicate it if it's still occurring? 1. You've probably already done this, but is the "In Chrome" dropdown in your extension keyboard shortcuts set to "Global"? 2. Do any of the shortcut key combos you set ever work when you don't have the Youtube page's tab selected? 3. If at some point the shortcut keys ever do work while the tab isn't selected, when exactly do they stop working when you click on another page?

Worked for a few days then stopped working

I might try disabling the extension and re-enabling it again. If that doesn't work, I might try restarting my computer and re-enabling the extension once more. But if you're still having issues after that, let me know and I'll try my best to help!

Please add numpad key support. And add support for right alt and right ctrl for shortcut key combinations, please.

Chrome (and any browsers based on Chromium e.g. Edge) only allow browser extensions to set shortcuts for a few keys. They've listed those in the link I'm posting below, but here are a few: A-Z keys, 0-9 keys, arrow keys, & a few others. Right Ctrl/Alt/Shift keys work, but can't be distinguished from the left Ctrl/Alt/Shift keys. Bummer, but this is something Google itself would have to change and I don't have control over. https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/api/commands#supported_keys

Great in Chrome but can't get it work in Edge. Please fix Edit: Turns out "Youtube Comment Scraper" extension was the problem. Although when I tried in incognito window before, it still didn't work but maybe a recent update fixed things.

Hi Mack, it should be working in Edge (currently using it myself now). Some things to try are: - Make sure the extension isn't also installed in an open Chrome window. - In Edge, go to Manage Extensions and toggle the extension off and back on again. - Completely close your browser (you can use Task Manager in Windows to do this) and open it again.

NOT HELPFULL WE NEED THE YOUTUBE VIDEO TO SLOW DOWN OR PAUSE AUTOMATICALLY WHEN WE TYPE CODE GLOBALLY AND RESUME WHEN WE LEAVE THE KEYBOARD .. SO THIS TOOL IS NOT GOOD FOR CODING ALONG.

Sorry, that's not something that any of the browsers make possible. (Sucks for what you're hoping for, but probably a good choice on their part since extensions having that kind of access to our computers would require extensions to see what we're doing in other apps and be a major security concern)
