Article Reader turns web articles into speech with a compact in-page player and sentence highlighting, so you can follow along or give your eyes a break. • Focus on the article: extracts the main text and filters out common navigation, promotions, and unrelated content. • Follow along: highlights the sentence being read. • Start anywhere: click a detected sentence to read from that point. • Listen your way: choose from available English voices and adjust playback speed from 0.5× to 2×. • Stay in control: pause, resume, or move between sentences. • Make it yours: switch between light and dark themes. Your voice, speed, and theme preferences are remembered. • Read selected text: select text and use the right-click menu to read it aloud. To get started, open an article and click the Article Reader icon in your Chrome toolbar. Voice availability depends on your operating system and Chrome. Some voices require an internet connection. Article detection varies by website, and Chrome restricts extensions on certain pages, including the Chrome Web Store.
