Overview

Stay on task without losing a thought. Off-topic searches are saved to a queue for after your focus session.

Ever opened the browser to research one thing and surfaced 40 minutes later somewhere else entirely? Yomi Focus helps you stay on task without fighting your curiosity. **How it works** • Start a focus session and say what you're working on, like "history paper on the causes of the Civil War." • Search normally on Google, Bing or DuckDuckGo. • If a search looks unrelated, Yomi Focus saves it to your queue instead of loading it. You won't lose the thought. • Need it now anyway? Tap "Search now." You always have the final say. • When the session ends, your saved searches are waiting for you. **Built for brains that wander** • Saves detours instead of blocking them, so there's no fear of forgetting. • Only steps in when it's confident. Related tangents load normally. • Learns from you: mark a search as related and it won't interrupt for that again. • No guilt language, no streak shaming. **Notes and citations, built in** • Highlight any text, right-click, “Add to Yomi Focus notes.” The citation is added for you. • Save sources straight from search results. • APA 7 or MLA 9, with missing details flagged instead of guessed. • Build your References or Works Cited page and paste it into Docs or Word with the formatting intact. **Your queue stays tidy** • Pin anything you want to keep. • Unpinned searches move to the Archive after 7 days (or 3 or 14). Nothing is deleted automatically. • Optional heads-up before items archive, an optional Sunday digest, and quiet hours. **Private by design** • Matching runs in your browser first. Most searches never leave your device. • An account is optional. Without one, everything stays local. • Your data is never sold. Export or delete it any time from Settings. **For families** • Homework routines start a focus session on the next assignment step, with earned breaks. • "Ask a parent": a parent's PIN, or one tap on their phone. Kids see exactly what parents can see, and nothing is shared until they accept the family invitation. **For schools** • School mode: on school-managed Chromebooks, a focus session starts with each class, built from the teacher's topic for the day. • Teachers let a search through with a PIN or one tap in the portal. Every override is logged; searches never are. • Teachers and admins see class totals only, never a student's searches, queue or notes.
