Record a task once — screen, voice and clicks — and get a step-by-step guide with annotated screenshots.

YedaLabs Q Capture turns a single screen recording into a finished step-by-step guide. Press record, do the task in your web app while explaining it out loud, and press Finish. Q Capture records the tab you choose, your narration and what you do in it: clicks, drags, typing, choices, keys, copy and paste, pointer rests and scrolling, with screenshots of each step. It keeps what you type, the text and field values the page shows, and which element you acted on, so the procedure can be found again on the page. It does not read a field marked or named as a password, a one-time code, a payment card, an API key, an access token or a secret. The screenshots and the video show the screen as it is. The YedaLabs platform then writes the guide: your narration is transcribed, the steps are written out, and each step is illustrated with a screenshot marked where you clicked. The guide lands in your organization's knowledge base, with the recording and its click marks in a tab beside it, or as a draft when you may not publish there. How to use 1. Sign in to YedaLabs in this browser. Open the extension's settings, click Connect (once), and choose the knowledge folder your guides land in. 2. Click the extension icon, then Start recording. Allow the microphone the first time, and pick the tab to record. A small floating window shows the time, the microphone level and Finish. 3. Do one task from start to finish, saying each step out loud as you do it: what you click, and why. 4. To carry on in another tab, go to it and press "Share this tab instead" in Chrome's bar. What you do in the tab being shared is recorded. Click Finish, then Save to make the guide, or Discard to drop the recording. Keep Chrome open until the upload finishes. 5. The guide opens from the extension when it is ready, usually within a few minutes. Good to know - A click you don't explain may be left out as a stray click. When in doubt, say it. - A recording stops at 10 minutes, with a warning a minute before. Keep each one to a single task. - Narrate in the language set in the extension's settings: the guide is written in it. - Use test data: what you type and what the page shows are kept, and the screenshots and the video show whatever is on screen. - Chrome can't name a plain http page, a PDF or a Chrome page to the extension. Shared there, the video shows it, but the actions kept are those of the tab you came from. This extension is intended for YedaLabs customers and requires a YedaLabs account.
