Year Glance gives you a calm, beautiful snapshot of your year's progress — no productivity pressure, no streaks, no guilt. Just peaceful awareness. Click the icon in your toolbar and see the year laid out as a quiet visualization. Days that have passed, the day you're in right now, and the days still ahead — each represented with care. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ HOW IT WORKS Open the popup anytime to see: • Your current day number and year progress percentage • Pick between Gregorian or Hijri calendar • A calming visualization of all days in the year • A gentle, time-aware message that changes with the time of day • Today's dot, softly pulsing with a box-breathing rhythm That's it. No dashboards, no goals, no reminders. Just a moment of quiet perspective. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ THREE VISUALIZATION LAYOUTS Switch between layouts with a single click: Grid — Every day of the year as a dot in a clean grid. Simple and familiar. You can see at a glance how far you've come. Fibonacci Spiral — Days arranged in a golden angle spiral, inspired by patterns found in nature. Earlier days sit on the outer edge and the year winds inward. Something about it just feels right. Bar — Each month as a horizontal row of small bars, with month numbers on the left. A more structured view that lets you see the shape of each month. All three layouts share the same gentle pulse animation on today's marker, breathing in and out on a calm 16-second cycle. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ DARK AND LIGHT MODE Year Glance supports both dark and light themes. By default it follows your system preference, but you can override it with the theme toggle. Three modes: system, light, and dark. The color palette is carefully chosen — soft purples and warm oranges that feel calming in both themes. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ GENTLE MESSAGES Each time you open Year Glance, you'll see a short, supportive message. These messages are aware of the time of day: Morning — "This day is open." / "No rush to be anything yet." / "Begin when you're ready." Midday — "It's okay to slow down." / "You're exactly on time." / "Steady is its own speed." Evening — "Enough for one day." / "Let today soften." / "Tomorrow will wait." The messages rotate based on the day of the year, so you'll see a different one each day. They're meant to feel like a quiet companion, not a motivational poster. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY FIRST Year Glance requests zero permissions. None. It doesn't access your browsing history, tabs, bookmarks, or anything else. It doesn't connect to any server. There is no analytics, no tracking, no data collection of any kind. Your layout and theme preferences are saved locally in your browser using localStorage.
