Save prompts, templates, bios and code snippets, then find and copy them from Chrome’s side panel without leaving your current tab. Spend less time searching through old notes, chats and documents for text you use again and again. WHAT CAN YOU SAVE? • AI prompts and reusable instructions. • Customer replies, follow-ups and message templates. • Profile bios and product descriptions. • Code snippets, API request templates and JSON schemas. • Checklists, standard operating procedures and frequently shared links. Use placeholder values in API templates. Keep real credentials in a dedicated password or secrets manager. HOW IT WORKS 1. Sign in with Google or create an email-and-password account. 2. Save your reusable text and organize it into folders. 3. Open yDirect, find your snippet, click Copy and paste it where you need it. Open yDirect from the Chrome toolbar or use Alt+S on a supported page. Alt+C copies your last-used snippet again. Keyboard shortcuts can be changed in Chrome’s extension shortcut settings. If another shortcut conflicts, you may need to reassign them. ORGANIZE AND REUSE • Folder and List views for browsing your library. • Search and sorting to find the right snippet. • One-click copying, copy counts and timestamps. • Light and dark themes. • Optional visual masking to hide snippet previews from nearby viewers. BACKUP AND SHARE • Import and export JSON or Excel files. • Export passphrase-encrypted JSON backups. • Optional cloud backup with latest and previous recovery points. • Share selected folders or snippets with verified yDirect accounts. • Workspace roles control access and contributions. ACCOUNTS AND PRIVACY yDirect is free to use. A yDirect account is required, with Google sign-in and email/password sign-up supported. Your account has a local Chrome copy of its library. Workspace features also use yDirect’s cloud service. Optional cloud backups are a separate feature. yDirect does not collect browsing history or the contents of pages you visit. It does not sell your data or use snippet content for personalized advertising. Visual masking is not encryption, and yDirect is not a password manager. Keep passwords, real API keys, private keys, recovery codes, payment-card data and other highly sensitive secrets in a dedicated password or secrets manager.
