YabLab turns the websites and YouTube videos you already enjoy into a personal language-learning tool. Translate words in one click, get grammar feedback as you write, adapt any article to your level, and review what you've collected in short daily sessions. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Click-to-translate on any website Select a word or phrase on any page to see its translation, part of speech, and example usage in a small popup. Save it to your personal dictionary with one click — no copying into another tab, no switching apps. • Dual subtitles on YouTube Watch videos with subtitles in both your target language and your native language at the same time. Click any word in a subtitle to see the translation and add it to your collection. Great for shows, interviews, lectures, and podcasts. • Your words, highlighted everywhere Words you're learning get highlighted on the pages you read, so you keep meeting them in real context — spaced repetition that happens by itself. You can turn highlighting on or off per site. • Grammar check as you write Get inline corrections in text fields across the web — comments, emails, posts. Each correction comes with a short explanation of the rule behind the mistake, and quick quizzes help you stop repeating it. • Adapt any page to your level One shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+Y / Cmd+Shift+Y) rewrites the article you're reading in simpler language matched to your level, so you can read real content before you're "ready" for it. • A dictionary that builds itself Every word you save lands in your collection automatically. No manual typing, no spreadsheets — and if you already study with Anki, you can import your decks. • Short review sessions that target your weak spots Practice sessions use spaced repetition and focus on the exact words and grammar rules you actually get wrong. A few minutes a day is enough, and your stats show how your vocabulary and accuracy grow month by month. • Sync across devices Your words and progress are stored in your account on yablab.app, so you can save a word on your laptop and review it later from anywhere. GETTING STARTED 1. Install the extension and sign in with email or Google. 2. Choose the language you're learning and your native language in settings. 3. Read articles and watch videos the way you normally do. When you see an unfamiliar word, just select it. 4. Save the words you want to learn — they go into your dictionary automatically. 5. Open the extension popup once a day and run a short review session. Text is processed only when you use a feature: the words you select for translation, the text you're writing when grammar check is active, and the page text when you ask to adapt an article.
