Overview

View X/Twitter videos in a full-page lightbox

X Video Lightbox adds a full-page viewing mode for X/Twitter videos, perfect for when you're browsing in a window (not fullscreen). **What it does:** A simple expand button appears in the tweet action bar on every video. Click it to open the video in a centered lightbox that fills your browser window with complete playback controls. The extension automatically unmutes and starts playback, maintaining your current position. **Why you need it:** When browsing X/Twitter in a narrow window (split-screen, side-by-side workflows, or partial screen), videos are tiny. Native fullscreen mode would be too disruptive - taking over your entire screen. This extension gives you the perfect middle ground: videos expand to fill your browser window at a comfortable viewing size, without leaving the page or disrupting your workflow. Close anytime with ESC or click outside. No data collection, no tracking - just better video viewing. Perfect for multi-tasking users, large monitor setups, and anyone who browses X/Twitter in windowed mode.
