XpertApps Engineer is a Chrome and Edge extension that answers how your live instance actually works — the business rules, scripts, flows and ACLs already there — then makes edits only through a plan you approve first. It's powered by Claude and runs on your own key. It rides your existing signed-in session and works within your own permissions, so there's no password or key to enter, and no platform plugin to install. Nothing routes through XpertApps, and your key stays encrypted under a passphrase only you know. HOW IT WORKS 1. It runs right alongside ServiceNow Install the free extension and connect your own Anthropic key. A chat panel opens on any instance page, riding your signed-in session — no plugin, no credentials. 2. Ask anything about your instance Ask in plain English. It searches business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI policies, and flows, then traces how they connect — in minutes. 3. Nothing changes without your say-so Write mode is off by default and stays read-only until you turn it on. Then it proposes a plan first — nothing is created, updated, or deleted until you click Approve, and it never writes to production. 4. Every change, tracked The change log records every modification, grouped by update set and matched to the platform's own version history. You always know what was created, updated, or deleted. 5. Undo with confidence Select any change and undo it using the platform's own native tools — not custom rollback logic you have to trust. Updates, new records, and deletions all revert. POWERED BY CLAUDE The extension is serverless and free: paste your own key once, and requests go straight from your browser to your own account. You pay Anthropic directly for your usage — typically a few cents a session — and nobody else sees your key or your data.
