XPathSense is an AI Automation Agent that intelligently scans web pages, identifies UI elements, and generates stable, human-readable XPaths and Page Object code using advanced AI models like Gemini or OpenAI. With one click, XPathSense scans the current page, detects all visible and interactive elements, and generates AI-optimized, human-readable XPaths ready for use in automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress and Playwright. ⚙️ How It Works: XPathSense helps you quickly find and create XPaths for web elements. Here's the simple process: 1. Setup API Key (Optional): Choose AI provider (Gemini or OpenAI) and enter your API key. Key is validated before saving. Use "Skip Key & Continue" to access without AI features. 2. Scan the Page: Click "Scan Page" to automatically find all interactive elements (buttons, inputs, links, dropdowns). Decorative elements are filtered out. 3. Review & Select: Browse detected elements and their XPaths. Select needed ones by checking the boxes. 4. Improve with AI (requires API key): Click "Generate with AI" on any XPath to get smarter, more reliable versions. Uses your selected AI provider. 5. Custom Mode: Click "Custom XPath" mode, then click any element on the page to create its XPath instantly. Works without API key. 6. Export Code (requires API key): Choose framework (Java+Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress) and export. Get complete Page Object files with all selected XPaths. ⚠️ Important Notes: API Key Validation: Keys are validated on save. Invalid/expired keys show error messages and block AI features. Use "Skip Key & Continue" to access without AI. Multi-AI Support: Supports Gemini and OpenAI (GPT-4, GPT-4o). Switch providers via "Logout" button. Keys validated for selected provider. Review AI Suggestions: Always verify AI-generated XPaths before using in tests. Suggestions are helpful but not guaranteed perfect. Test Your XPaths: Test exported XPaths in your automation framework to ensure they work correctly. Data Privacy: "Generate with AI" and "Export" send HTML context to your selected AI provider. Avoid using on confidential/sensitive data pages. AI Issues: If AI fails, check API key status for error messages. Try "Generate with AI" again if needed. Key Management: Change API key or switch providers via "Logout" button. This clears all stored data. New key is validated before access. No Guarantees: Tool provided as-is.
