Chrome shows raw XML files as a plain, unstyled document tree. XML Formatter turns any XML page into a readable, explorable view - but only when you ask it to. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open any XML file or URL (RSS feeds, sitemaps, SOAP responses, config files). 2. Click the XML Formatter icon. 3. The page becomes a formatted tree. Click the icon again to restore the original page. It uses only the activeTab permission, which means it can touch a page only in the moment you click the icon, and only that tab. No background reading, no data collection, no network requests. Everything happens locally in your browser.
