XGate
Overview
XGate's page for a closed site, and a menu in the toolbar to open or close a set.
xgate is parental controls, but for adults: a program on your Mac that keeps the sites and apps you chose closed except in the windows you set, with the keys held by a person you trust, your Guardian. This extension is the page in front, not the lock. When Chrome opens a site that xgate has closed, it shows xgate's own page instead of a connection error: which set the site is in, how many accesses are left today, the hours it opens, and the button that asks for an access. The page goes to the site by itself the moment the set opens. It works only with xgate installed on the Mac, which installs it through a Chrome policy. On its own it does nothing. It collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere: it talks to the xgate program on the same Mac.
