Reels and Ads Blocker for Facebook

Hides Reels, short videos, ads and suggested posts from your Facebook feed. Local, private, no account needed.

Facebook without the Reels and ads. Reels and Ads Blocker (formerly Reels Blocker) cleans up your Facebook feed so it shows the people you actually follow: no Reels, no short-video shelves, no sponsored posts, and, if you want, no "suggested for you" posts either. WHAT IT HIDES Reels • Reels posts and the Reels tray in your feed • "Suggested videos" and video carousels • The Reels shortcuts in the left menu and top bar • Reels shelves on Watch, and the Reels player itself. Click a Reel by mistake and you get a "Reel hidden" screen instead of autoplay, with one click to go back or watch that one Reel anyway • Optional: portrait short videos that Facebook doesn't label as Reels • Optional: the Stories row • Optional: send facebook.com/reel/ links straight back to your feed Ads • Sponsored posts in your feed, recognised in 20+ languages ("Sponsored", "Ad", "Patrocinado", "Gesponsert" and more) • The "Sponsored" section in the right-hand column Suggested posts (optional, new in 1.5) • Posts from pages, people and groups you don't follow • "Suggested for you" posts and "People you may know" style blocks • Only applies to your home feed. Pages, groups and profiles you open yourself are never filtered, and a friend sharing a page's post stays YOU'RE IN CONTROL Every option has its own switch, and changes apply instantly with no page reload. The popup shows how many Reels, ads and suggested posts were hidden today and all time. A built-in Diagnose button tells you what the extension can see on the current page if anything ever looks off. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, nothing to sign up for • No data collected: no analytics, no tracking, no network calls • Everything runs inside your own browser • Only two permissions: storage (for your settings and counters) and facebook.com (so it can hide things on the page) GOOD TO KNOW Works on Facebook in a desktop browser. Facebook changes its layout often. If something slips through, use Diagnose and get in touch, and it will be fixed in an update. WHAT'S NEW IN 1.5 • New: optional Suggested posts filter, so your home feed shows only who you follow • Separate counters for Reels, ads and suggested posts WHAT'S NEW IN 1.4 • New: blocks sponsored posts and sidebar ads • Renamed from Reels Blocker to Reels and Ads Blocker • Shared Reels now hide the whole post instead of leaving an empty shell • More accurate counters, with no double counting when you scroll back up • Keyboard support on the "Reel hidden" screen (Esc goes back)
