chat2vault - Save AI chats to Obsidian
Overview
Save Claude, ChatGPT, DeepSeek & Gemini chats to Obsidian. Bulk-export your whole history. No plugin, no API keys.
Save your AI conversations from Claude, ChatGPT, DeepSeek and Gemini to Obsidian as clean Markdown notes — no Obsidian plugin, no API keys, no setup. Click the extension icon on a conversation and it lands in your vault through an obsidian:// link. Nothing to install or configure on the Obsidian side. Features: • Zero configuration: install and click. • Formatting preserved: code blocks with language tags, tables, nested lists and links. • Math kept as LaTeX ($…$ and $$…$$), which Obsidian renders. • Thinking steps become collapsible callouts, so notes stay readable. • YAML frontmatter: title, source link, platform, date and tags. • Preview and edit the Markdown before saving. • Everything runs locally in your browser. Your conversations are not sent to any server. Bulk export (Pro): choose your vault folder once and export your whole chat history from Claude, ChatGPT or DeepSeek straight into it. Chats you already saved are skipped, updated ones are refreshed, and an interrupted export picks up where it stopped. Artifacts and canvases are saved in full, folded into the reply that created them. Free: save to Obsidian, copy Markdown, download .md — no limits. Pro ($29 one-time): bulk export, append mode (re-save a conversation and only the new messages are added), custom note templates, and future Pro features at no extra cost. If a site update breaks something, the popup shows a Report link that sends me the details.
